NewPro Lacquer-Sealant K1 - K2

For Dark Car Lacquers –Long-living Sealing

Product Description

NewPro-Lacquer-Sealant K1 - K2 is a 2-component mixture based on chemical nanotechnology, with outstanding properties: being water and oily fluids repellent on highly strained surface areas. The adhesion of dirt, grime, insects, algae and foreign particles is minimized, the lacquer is more resistant against scratches and the coated surface is especially easy to clean.

Instruction for Application and Use

Surface Preparation: The surface must be completely cleaned and free of all dirt, oil, grease and grime prior to application. NewPro-Special-Nano-Alcohol Cleaner or an organic cleaner (for example, Isopropanol, Acetone) is recommended. For boats we recommend the NewPro-Special-Nano-Alcohol Cleaner. Afterwards, rinse out with sufficient clean water to remove any possible tenside residue. The surface must be clean, dry and grease/grime free prior to applying the surface coating.

Immediately subsequent to cleaning, sealing should begin. After sealant has been applied the surface should not be cleaned chemically or mechanically for 2 hours.

Important: Please apply in small surface sections only. Ideally always in 50 x 50 cm area sections (also for sealing). Mixed components are only good for 3 days. Do not apply product without a prior test of suitability of the product for the intended purpose.

It is recommended that gloves be worn during use or application of the product. NewPro-Lacquer-Sealant draws moisture from the skin. The application should be tested on a hidden or non-visible spot of the surface area or on a sample of the material. Do not apply the product at temperatures below +5° C.

Mixing Instructions: Adding water or other products will have a negative effect on the product properties and lifetime.

Coating:

  • Open the "Mixture Bottle" – first fill mixture bottle with "Component 1" and then add "Component 2". Tightly close the mixture bottle with the cap. (Sufficient for approximately 10 – 12m²)
  • Shake the mixture bottle strongly with the mixed components for approximately 2 minutes prior to application
  • Cut off the top of the mixture bottle, and sparingly apply the mixed materials directly at the center of the small sponge (preparing for coating).
  • Moisten the surface using the sponge in circular motion with light pressure (50 x 50cm surface area sections).
  • Polish non-dry surface using a clean cloth until there is no veil visible. s to avoid veil formation. Polish the surface thoroughly to avoid clouding on the lacquered surface. In the event of clouding, re-apply thin layer of sealant and polish off thoroughly. The surface has always to be polished immediately.

Proof of Effectiveness Using a Drop Test: When the sealant has been properly applied a drop of water onto the lacquer using a pipette should not spread or run. It must form a pearl over the surface and roll off of the surface (after approximately 2 hours).

Cleaning of the Coated Surface: Because dirt, grime, insects, scale, salt, tar, cement veil, etc. do not adhesively bond to the coated surface, no aggressive cleaners (extreme acids, extreme alkaline, or scrubbing powders) are necessary. If the roll off effect weakens, clean surface with a sponge and mild cleaner (for example NewPro Special-Nano-Alcohol Cleaner). The coating requires regular cleaning of the surface.

Use:

  • Approximately 5-10 ml. per m².

Required Conditions for Use/Application

The application of the product must be carried out under normal temperature and humidity conditions. Any precipitation, contamination, soiling, or weathering to the treated or coated surface or poor drying prior to application can negatively influence the adhesion of the sealant. The sealant is not to be applied to surfaces, which are colder than 5°C or warmer than 30°C. Avoid direct sunlight during application.

Drying:

  • The sealant is dust dry after approximately 10 minutes
  • The complete hardening process takes 2 hours.

These are approximate values depending on surrounding temperature, relative humidity and structure.

Further Instructions

Storage:

  • Cool, frost-free, store in original container (tin)
  • The individual components remain stable for approximately 1 year
  • Mixed components are only good for 3 days.
