  • Approximately 1.05 g/ml.

Solid State:

  • Volume: approximately 35%.

VOC-Value:

  • Approximately 550 gr. /Liter.

For further details, please see the safety data sheet for this product.

Instructions for Application and Use

Surface Preparation & Pre-treatment: Surfaces must be clean, dry and stable. Weathering, cracking and imperfect adhesive coatings must be completely removed. If necessary use a priming coat according to proper specifications. Blasted steel, purity grade Sa 2 ½ (ISO). It can be used also for smaller repairs metallically pure smoothed steel. Rework existing, fixed, adhesive old coatings for surface pre-treatment and check the adhesion and stability.

Notice: The quality of the coating depends on a variety of conditions, such as the surface pre-treatment, the weather conditions during the application and the drying as well as the care taken during the processing and application of the coating. The stability and the adhesion of the old coatings should be tested prior to beginning the application of the final coating.

Mixing Instructions: NewPro-Therm +600 comes in its delivered consistency ready for direct application. NewPro-Therm +600 can be diluted, if necessary, with NewPro-SOL Special Dilution (spray-dilution for artificial resin coatings and custom dilution for certain products) – follow the instructions for dilution on the respective package.

Instruction for Application

Application: Prior to application and use, thoroughly mix NewPro-Therm +600 with the appropriate mechanical mixing device. Pay careful attention to the cleanliness of tools, because even the slightest dirt or grime or remaining moisture on the tools can greatly impair the final coating. In its delivered viscosity apply NewPro-Therm +600 using a paintbrush, a roller, a spray/airless device or a pressurized air spray device. The recommended dry layer thickness is 20 – 30 µm. The mechanical capacity is reached only at temperatures from +400°C.

If necessary a dilution with NewPro-SOL Special Dilution (spray-dilution for artificial resin coatings and custom dilution for certain products) is possible for the cleaning of devices only.

Machine Application: NewPro-Therm +600 can be applied using a standard spray/airless device. Pay careful attention to the manufacturer’s instruction.

The following standard values are recommended:
Pressure of Spray:

  • Spray Pressure 3.0 – 4.0 Bar
  • Spray Valve 1.0 – 1.5 mm.

Spray/Airless Spray:

  • Pump compression ratio min. 1:60
  • Spray Pressure 100 - 120 Bar
  • Spray Valve 0.18 – 0.23 mm.

Notice Regarding Machine Application: Carry out spraying under dry air conditions. If necessary and possible use a water separator.

Warning: Apply coating only in well-ventilated rooms or in open areas.

Amount of Product to be Used:

  • Approximately 14 m²/Liter for a dry coating thickness of 25 µn.

These values are only achievable using spray application. An exact amount of material necessary must be determined by a test coating on the object.

Conditions for Application

The application and drying can be effectuated at a surface and area temperature between a min. +5°C and max. +30°C. Humidity also should not exceed 85%. Pay careful attention to the dew point. During drying, protect coated surface from rain and direct sunlight.

Warning: Apply product only in well-ventilated or open areas.

Conditions for Application

Drying Times:

   T [°C] min.     Interval [h]
       +5°C            36 h
       +10°C          16 h
       +20°C            8 h
       +30°C            4 h

The mechanical capacity is reached only at temperatures from +400°C. The drying time depends on the temperature and relative humidity.

Cleaning of Tools:

  • Clean immediately after use with water and if necessary cleaning agents.

Quality of the Coating

The quality of the coating depends on a wide range of conditions, such as the surface pre-treatment, weather conditions during application and drying as well as the care taken during the process of the application of the coating. The best results can be achieved with spray cleaning in compliance with DIN 55928, Part 4 or DIN ISO 12944-4, Standard Grade of Cleanliness SA 21/2. The stability and adhesion of old coatings should be checked with a test coating. Weathered, cracked and imperfect adhesive coatings must be completely removed. Thoroughly mix product prior to application with a mechanical mixing device. For the application of two-component products the contents of the hardener/curing agent container should be completely emptied into the container with the base component. Allow the hardener to completely flow out of the container. Thoroughly mix the base component and the hardener, preferably using a mechanical mixing device, pour contents into a new container and mix again. Make sure that the tools and devices are thoroughly clean. Even the slightest dirt or grime or remaining moisture on the tools can greatly impair the quality of the final coating. Ensure dry air conditions for spray application (if necessary using water separator).
