NewPro Universal Liquid Glass RK

For Non-Absorbent / „Hard" Surfaces

Product Description:

NewPro Liquid Glass Universal 675 RK is an alcohol based coating material which provides an Easy-to-Clean effect on glass, plastics, ceramic and metal surfaces (chrome, stainless steel, aluminium). The product can be applied onto coated wood. The material generates a thin film on the surfaces which reduces the adhesion of dirt and impurities and allows water to pearl off better. The coated surfaces are particularly easy to clean.

Characterisation:

Chemical Description: Silicone-free siloxane compound with antimicrobial ingredients in ethanol liquid, colourless
Application Amount: approx. 10 g/m² (dependent on actual application), thinned, ready-for-use
Concentration: approx. 1 weight% (Residue 1h 150°C)
Storage Stability: 6 months

As long as the original container remains tightly closed and stored between 5 and 25°C. Opened containers should be used within a short time. The shelf-life date of the batch involved is noted on the product label. Storage longer than this date does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer useable. A test should however be carried out to ensure that the product has the needed properties for the intended application purpose and is essential for quality assurance.
Handling: Please see the actual Data Safety Sheets for information about the handling and safety. During processing attention must be paid to the wearing of suitable protective clothing. When sprayed we recommend wearing of a personal protective breathing mask (e.g. Full mask from 3M Art. No. 6800S with particle filter, protective stage P3 3M No. 5935 and the active filter cartridge protective stage A2 3M Art. No. 06915)

Application:

Rubber gloves must be worn when processing NewPro Liquid Glass Universal 675 RK.
Good ventilation must be provided during the application. Ignition sources must be kept away. In the case of skin contact it is necessary to wash the area thoroughly with soap and water.
The application is carried out in three steps:

1. Cleaning
2. Application
3. Drying

Spray thinly from/to 10 ml per m², spread circularly, and polish out haze.

Cleaning:

The surfaces are to be thoroughly cleaned from dust, dirt, oil and grease. It is recommended to use an abrasive cleaner (mild scouring milk) or a light alkaline or acidic tenside-cleaner.
Before using the above cleaner and to avoid causing damage to the surface, first check the compatibility to ensure that no damage is caused. After cleaning, the surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with demineralised water to remove any remaining tensides and mineral salts.
The surfaces are to be dried according to substrate compatibility either by oil-free compressed air or convection oven. An indication for a clean surface is the complete uniform wetting of the surface with clear rinsing water.
Note: Do not use a cleaner with hydrophobic drying agents!

Application:

The coating is carried out under normal temperature and air-humidity conditions, preferably by wiping, alternatively by spraying, flooding or dipping the surface into the coating solution.

Drying at Room Temperature:

Drying of the applied materials is carried out at normal room temperature and humidity for at least 5 to 30 minutes.
